(TLG), a White Plains, NY based Incentive Marketing Company was awarded top honors at the 23rd annual SITE Crystal Awards in Chicago, IL for their outstanding work with client Jones Apparel and their LAUREN Ralph Lauren brand. The Crystal Awards are an annual tribute to the unique work of Incentive Companies who blend imaginative ideas with the practical implementation of campaigns and recognize the outstanding work incentive agencies provide their clients throughout the year. Judges considered campaigns held between May 1, 2002 and May 31, 2003. Entries were evaluated based on client Return on Investment (ROI), campaign creativity and campaign mechanics. TLG designed a ground breaking new program in customer retail marketing for Jones Apparel Group to promote and drive sales for their LAUREN Ralph Lauren brand (LRL). TLG implemented a customer loyalty program for the clothing manufacturer that would both drive sales among existing customers while also working to promote the line to potential customers. Partnering with southern retail giant Parisian and magazines Real Simple, Marie Claire and Travel and Leisure, TLG presented the customer base with a creativity filled week of brand marketing. The Light Group, Inc. designed an exclusive membership-based club aptly named LAUREN VIP and was intended to promote brand loyalty among top customers. Program members were rewarded with quarterly promotions and earned gifts and rewards with purchases. They also enjoyed a week of promotion from program magazine partners who hosted fashion shows, organizing how-to’s and receptions for LAUREN customers. The incentive program was designed by TLG to reach beyond the customer base to include the Sales Associates at retailers who carry the LRL brand. Earning $1.00 for every customer they registered for the LAUREN VIP program motivated sales associates and helped to educate them about the product. “Including the Sales Associates in the loyalty program allowed us to cast a larger net and recruit more loyalty for the brand on both sides of the cash register” say president of The Light Group, Inc., Arnold Light.
