INCENTIVE TRAVEL: The most coveted motivational reward

When you choose travel as a reward vehicle for successful achievement of goals during an incentive campaign you not only please your participants by offering them what they desire, you also create the opportunity to really get to know your top achievers. Often times a travel reward that is implemented professionally and flawlessly is remembered through a lifetime. Before your participants return to the workplace they'll want to know what's in store for the following year. Group and or individual incentive travel lets your achievers really know how much your company appreciated their efforts.

An incentive destination can be anywhere world wide and generally from three nights to a full week. The key is the quality that must be built into each and every program. If budget limitations preclude a grand trip to Paris for instance, an action-filled weekend in Quebec City or Montreal with all the incentive amenities will meet your needs while the participants will derive a very highly perceived value.

The are many destinations to choose from.

We can charter planes, book restaurants on an exclusive basis, create beach parties, golf on glaciers and whatever else may tickle your groups fancy.

Other types of travel incentive programs include weekend getaways for individuals and/or travel certificates. The weekend getaway can be a local bed and breakfast to a weekend Caribbean cruise. Travel certificates can be given in any dollar amount.

The Light Group also handles corporate meetings and special events with the same finesse and attention to detail.

A travel incentive program usually works like this:

  • Program kick-off meeting with all participants in attendance. Distribute program brochure detailing, how to win and what to win. Alternatively, the kick-off and program details could be handled on line through the company intranet.
  • Promotional material sent out during the tracking period containing enticing photographs and descriptions of the destination. (Send a postcard from the destination as a reminder that “you too could be enjoying this so keep up the good work!” – just one suggestion from thousands of promotional items!) This phase of the program can be delivered online, saving thousands of dollars in printing, postage and labor costs.
  • A lively congratulations letter, registration form and some tantalizing information about the program are sent to the achiever once the qualifiers are determined.
  • At least two weeks prior to travel, airline tickets, and a detailed program brochure are sent to the achiever accompanied by a letter that is chock-full of information. We must make even the person who has never traveled before comfortable in the fact that they will receive the utmost personal attention.
  • Onsite staff will meet and greet each person as they arrive at the chosen destination. If there is a large number of people travelling from a particular city, a travel staff person will be assigned to travel with the group. Once at the destination and having been guided through customs and immigration formalities, deluxe air conditioned transportation is waiting to whisk guests to their hotel as the memories begin to unfold.
  • The program is filled with lots of goodies. Welcome arrival gifts and letters as well as special gifts of a local flavor delivered to the sleeping rooms each night along with a note of thanks from management, private dinners, deluxe accommodations, exciting activities all in a well-planned itinerary. A hospitality desk and hand delivered messages and departure information are part of the daily service.
